Crescent Lufkin Orange SHOCKFORCE NITE EYE 25-ft Magnetic Tape Measure

Sounds good, but isn't

I had a hard time getting the stable wing tape measure to sit flat on a floor past 10-12 feet. Makes layout very difficult. I couldn't just push the tape out and have it sit flat. I had to go along the tape and move it to sit right. Also, the magnet fell off in 3 weeks.

Good tape, bad design placement

Tape standout, color and sturdiness is all great. I bought this one because of the magnet feature. I bought this tape measure on August 11 and returned it August 14 due to the magnet breaking off. The design allows for the blade to shift up and when retracting the magnet hits the case (my apprentice learned this the hard way) and shot the part across my work space.

Will not buy again

I bought this a little over a week ago and at first was very happy with the tape. The stability while in the air was great and with both sides being marked visibility was top tier too. Magnetic hook on both sides was also a good idea. But I say this that even though the build and ideas were wonderful I am very disappointed in the durability of this tape measure. I used it for 2 days before it was broken. The first day I was on a roof laying out measurements for core drilling and had to extend it...

Tape is great. Magnetic feature needs redesign

The tape itself is great. Wide, easy to read, and good recoil. Personally, I’d avoid the magnetic model until they’re able to redesign it. On my original purchase, the magnet broke off within 4 days. It was replaced by Lowe’s and the new tape had the magnet break off after 2 days. Both snapped in the same location. The magnet is held on by a rivet of some sort and it seems to lack the proper strength to withstand field use.

Great tape, magnet breaks off

The tape itself is great. Good recoil, wide, and easy to read numbers. Personally, I’d avoid the magnetic model until it’s redesigned. My brand new tape had the magnet broken off within 4 days and the replacement tape (also new) had the magnet broken off within 2 days. The magnet is held on by what looks like a rivet or something of the sort, so if they can beef up the connection point this tape has a ton of promise.

Not even 30 days of minimum use.

Second week the spring already is showing issues. Doesn’t wind properly and it always sticks out 6 inches. Already have to take it back.

As advertised

Indescribable, doesn’t drop can see in low lite

Great product

Excellent standout and easy to read
