Cactus Agave is known for its dramatic rosettes of thick, succulent leaves that radiate from a central point. The leaves are typically rigid, fleshy, and often armed with sharp spines or teeth along the edges. Cactus Agave thrives in full sun to partial shade, preferring bright, indirect sunlight for optimal growth. Place your Cactus Agave in a location where it can receive at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day, such as a south- or west-facing window or an outdoor spot with ample sunlight exposure. Cactus Agave is highly drought-tolerant and prefers well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Water sparingly: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, especially during the dormant period in winter. Adjust watering frequency based on environmental conditions: Increase watering during hot, dry periods and reduce frequency during cooler, rainy seasons. When shipped, it’s about 30-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. Cactus ships in a white, 10-inch grower pot. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. Cactus is generally a slow grower, depending on environment and care provided. Boost growth in spring and summer with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the products instructions. When Cactus outgrows its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it in a 2-inch wider container. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. Hardy outdoors in USDA Zones 6-9. Exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact.
