Proudly made in the USA from inland red cedar with a reversible face, rough-sawn on one side and a smooth surface on the opposite side
These boards are kiln dried, untreated, unfinished, and are ready to stain, paint, or finish your choice of color
Each board has nominal(common) dimensions of 1-in thick x 6-in wide x 8-ft long and an actual dimensions of 3/4-in thick x 5-1/2-in wide x 8-ft long
Cedar is the preferred species for exterior use, naturally resisting weather, decay, insects, shrinkage, warping and twisting
Each board has square edges and a S1S2E profile with 1 face and 2 sides smooth and one face having a rough sawn texture

Cedar Board - could be better
The board had substantial amounts of blue stain and was damaged in several places from the strapping, but it was the best one I could find in the store. Since I only needed a portion of the board, I just cut out the pieces I needed. It turned out good enough but there was a lot of waste involved.

Hard pass
These boards were very poor quality. We had to go through a few dozen boards to find six that were acceptable. Many had splits in the end 6-12 inches long. Many were cupped, twisted and/or bowed. This was the case across two different stores. I recommend finding a lumber yard with better quality stock.

limited quantity
limited stock, only 12 boards, most were not up to the quality I needed for my project. Lowe's price was better than all other local suppliers. I got the one board I needed.

Nice boards. Some knots and blemishes
Works well. Some splintering when sawing, but no more than any other cedar I've used. It looks great when it's sanded and treated with clear shellac. Some of the boards in the stack had a lot of knots and some had what appeared to be blemishes from them being handled roughly (such as chips out of the edge or marks from banding them for transport). Take the time to look through the stack and pick out good boards and you'll have good wood to work with on your project.
