Beautiful countertop
Took stain very well, sealed it for use as top of new kitchen island by placing it on two base kitchen cabinets with overhand for seating. Whole project was easy and came out beautiful. Many compliments on the top especially. BTW - I'm a 75 year old lady who made this.

Three separate orders resulted in the delivery of cracked wood. While the wood's aesthetic quality was excellent, the consistent presence of splits presents a significant drawback.

I didn't know that I ordered this butcher block with splits in it. For the price I think it should have been in perfect condition. Plus they shouldn't have put tape on the piece because it left imprints in the wood...A partial refund would be nice. Since I know that won't happen I won't be including photos but it is the last time I shop at Lowes.. Being in a wheelchair it's rather difficult for me to repack it and do a return...I'll just repair it best I can...

Oh My! Let's use boxing tape on unfished wood
I would not buy this again. The biggest complaint is that the manufacturer used boxing tape to strap down the literature, which consisted of a spec label. There is also filler, and that would not have been bad if they had sanded it down better. But each side has filler so choose your best side. And mine has slight gouges in it along with deep random scratches that are deep. If I were to buy another, I would get a finished one to see the flaws. Unless you want to sand a 1/8 inch off the top stay ...
