What Customers Are Saying
The product has mixed reviews, with some customers praising its maneuverability, ease of use, and ability to quickly mow lawns. Positive features mentioned include the hydrostatic transmission, cup holder, and LED headlight. However, a significant number of customers have experienced major issues with the steering, brakes, engine, and overall reliability, with many reporting problems starting the mower or it breaking down after limited use. The difficulty and expense of getting the mower repaired is also a common complaint. While some long-term owners have had good experiences, the overall consensus is that the product's quality and durability are inconsistent, with a substantial risk of getting a defective model.

I have 3/4 of an acre and needed a small riding mower that was nimble enough to mow around objects. A zero turn mower is too big and too expensive for my budget (even the smallest ones). My 30" rear engine rider is perfect. It will be two years old in August and still looks brand new. I don't baby it but I do care for it and don't push it beyond it's limits. For example: Yes, it will turn on a dime but but you can't go full speed while doing so. Here in south Texas the thick St Augustine will gr...

Warranty Expired!
Warranty expired 4-5 months ago. Went out to mow lawn and wouldn't start. Wouldn't even turn over! Checked battery, full charge. Don't know what else to check???????

Don't Bother
Don't bother. Was nothing but trouble, now I'm having to replace it not long after the warranty expired. Craftsman is not the brand it used to be.

brake failure
Bought because I have always had reliable performance from everything with the Craftsman name. However, after mowing my lawn and cleaning my well maintained mower, when I pushed down on the brake to start it the brake pedal went further than normal and the ignition didn't kick in. When I tried to push it, the rear wheels wouldn't rotate. I pulled the transmission bypass rod out and down but the wheels still wouldn't rotate. The mower has little use because my lawn is rather small and I bought th...

Feel like a Shriner at the Circus
I’m not a big person at all, 5’4 & 150lbs. This is so top-heavy because no weight in front, the slightest hill will pull the front wheels off the ground and if you’re not careful you will tip. The battery is a hassle to take out for the season and put back in unless you have small fingers. Bought it because of the width to fit into my small shed. Gets the job done faster than a walk behind but you’re probably better off purchasing a high-end walk behind if you have less than an acre. Also the s...

Does not work properly
I purchased this mower about a year ago but have only used it twice. Each time either grass was not picking or the mower was not even cutting the grass with the blade down or there was an uneven cut. Very disappointed. The manual that came with the mower is not for the mower, so that is not helpful.

Poor steering. Disappointed
Nice little mower. We have had is less that a year and the steering is shot. I have to replace the steering pinion gear. Poor design on the most important part. Hard to mow when you can't steer. Wheel just turns and you hear click click click until it finally grabs. Unless they fix the steering I wouldn't buy one again.
