Let me down big time!

I bought this saw last year and only opened it this week to prune some very small trees that were in the way for a new septic tank installation. After maybe 10 cuts of branches less than 6 inches in diameter the gears started whining and grinding. I had oil in it (not included by the way). It really let me down when I needed it the most and it was brand new! Luckily my Craftsman reciprocating saw with pruning blades came to the rescue.

Leaks Bar Oil

Good day, I purchased this chain, worked great for many months, then started gradually leaking bar oil. Now, you fill the bar oil chamber and it empties for new reason. Seriously it was full two days ago and yesterday it leaked everywhere. Disappointed. Top it off, Lowe’s messed up my log in credentials so I had to change email addresses for them, so all prior purchases no record…nice. I took except care of the saw, cleaned it after every use, set it on a separate shelf in our garage. And...

Gears grinding and safety switch failure

Shortly after purchasing the trigger became hard to squeeze. Sometimes it would pop and start, others it would not. Now the motor spins, but the chain won't spin. After looking at other reviews it appears to be a common problem. I love craftsman tools, but this is an utter disappointment.

Light and compact size with great cutting power!

This is an amazing compact saw! I didn't want anything big and heavy but it had to be able to cut reasonable size tree limbs into sections. I was shocked at how fast they cut through branches that were six to eight inches in diameter. It took very little effort to get a straight clean cut. I cut them into log size sections that I'll be using in the fireplaces winter. The saw fully charged in about 8 hours and held the charge through several hours of cutting. Bought this chainsaw less than 10 days ago, August 5, 2026. It worked for about five cuts on a tree I was pruning back stopped working contacted Lowe’s. They told me I was out of luck because I didn’t have the box to return it in to contact craftsman this is very poor customer service, especially when I spend a ton of money at Lowe’s. Mine stopped working

We bought our craftsman chainsaw last fall. The gear will no longer engage and turn the chain. Very unhappy with the quality of the product. I was using it to trim the small manageable stuff around the yard.

Works great

I had several limbs fall out of some old oak trees at my home. The chainsaw was easy to use, no gas and took no time to cut up the limbs for removal.

at first was decent, but man mine had issues with the oil. My saw was always extra oily, had to put small amounts at a time to not be coated in bar oil. The chain slips off every time I turn around whether oily or dry. The cover warped and now chain will not stay on at all. Don't buy less than a yr
