A Large Step Up from "Buillder Standafrd"
After ten years of living with the bottom-line range hood installed by our builder, I got fed up. Too loud, too greasy, easy to break, it was just too cheap, both in looks and performance. In addition, as we transition to the next generation of appliances, it's basic black enamel was less in touch with modern taste. This hood is a great solution. quiet start and strong fans. very nice polished finish. sturdy. costs much more than a lower "cheap" brand of exhaust fan. the design and appearance fits in well with the cabinets and appliances.

DO NOT BUY
I bought this around 8 months ago and I absolutely loved it at the time. Yesterday, however, it caught on fire with only the light being on. It burnt my cabinets, my wall, and caked my stove in plastic from the wires. Thankfully I was home and everyone is okay and I put out the fire. But I definitely will not be buying another product from this company. This specific model needs to stop being sold!
