Forget buying plywood for hurricanes! These panels are very simple to install and saves storage space. Strong, sturdy protection for hurricanes. Put up and take down in minutes. I never will go back to plywood.

Easy to work with.

Great product, WAY to expensive, panels should not be warped, making them hard to install. They cut easily with the appropriate blade on a table saw for a custom fit.

What can I say it is a Hurricane panel. Easy to use and install. Holds up well in a cat3 and cat4. Do not know about a cat5 as I wouldnt want to see

2 different types in same size

I first ordered the 50g panels from Lowes for my windows and needed more panels. The cost for the 50g was two dollars more per panel. I saw these and didn't know why they were a little less, but ordered the extra that I needed. It wasn't until I picked them up that I realized these are 40g and are lighter weight. The 50g are Miami Dade approved, these are not. It's ok because we live in Pinellas and don't have to have the Miami/Dade approval for insurance discount. These panels are still a...

Shutters

They were easy to set up and it really protects the windows 100%. Storing them away is also very easy however make sure you wear gloves they are sharp. The cost is rather astronomical.

the Florida approval codes have changed for 2018. you can no longer use plywood as wind borne protection for openings over 44 inches. what this means is that if you have windows/doors that are over 44 inches you must "use" or at least Describe on your building plans what you are going to use. and after getting my plans denied once i have done some work for you. the above product is manufactured by American Shutter Systems Association.
