With 150 watts of power, the thermostatically controlled heating element is completely hidden beneath the bird bath surface. Comes with hardware which will mount the bath to almost any pedestal (stone or plastic) up to a 12-in diameter. For added versatility, and a closer view of the birds, use the included mounting plate to place the top on a 2-in x 4-in or 2-in x 6-in deck railing. Use this bird bath year round, just remove the cord when the heater is not being used.
