Nice product but needs tweaking

The vent itself is great, but it needs to have a little wider flange for existing construction. Not every opening is square and straight. I spent a lot of time puttying gaps.

Client picked these out. Frame not big enough to cover standard registers which are mounted by surface screws. Making the frame slightly larger would make it a direct replacement for a house with traditional registers. Instead it required multiple coats of drywall mud/sanding and paint. We are lucky the paint matched or we would have had to paint all 1500 sf. Also they don’t make 4”x12” registers. Seems will for such a common size.

The framed wall vents I purchased are so much more esthetically pleasing than the standard covers I replaced. They are paintable, after painting and mounting you almost don’t even know they are there. Your web site is set up very well. Very informative and easy to navigate through to acquire the information needed.
