Quiet and Easy to Install

Had to replace a 24 yr old disposal after metal eroded. I chose this one because of it being stainless steel and insulated for quiet grinding. Wishful Thinking Ahead

I haven't been able to install it yet, I only received it 2 days ago. I wanted to have it installed by Lowes, but it was going to cost A LOT to have done. More than I paid for the disposal device itself. Unfortunately, I have to have it installed by someone else because it won't cost as much. What I needed

Shipping was horrible, It took weeks to finally get here. Install was fairly easy, had to replace top and bottom. Don't forget plummers putty, its not included. I replaced a 1/3 HP model with this 1/2 HP. I'm surprised at the difference it makes for the good. It's quieter than my old one too which is a plus! My only worry is that it doesn't use a allen wrench like most to get jams out. It says to use a broom stick to stick down in it and rotate around to make it move again. Not too sure about...

Just needed a little modification...

I bought this disposal despite the negative reviews of the water not draining. It doesn't. Or at least it didn't until I did a little modification. The flaps in the center of the flange come to a point and don't let much water go through, so I trimmed off a little from each flap (cut off the point) to widen the hole, and now it's great. It made it a little noisier, but it's not very loud anyway, so it didn't make much difference. I really like that I can take the flange out to clean it, or ...

Received broken item

This disposal was shipped in it's own box, no protection, traveled from California to Florida via FeDex, so guess how many times was dropped, well this one came broken, including the box. Really needed this disposal, now have to wait until my money is back on my card to order another one, very frustrating experience, was hoping Lowes had a better shipping standard

Bad Splash Guard

The splash guard does not let the water out unless you open it with something. The splash guard is deteriorated and wrinkled up around the top and will not let the sink stopper seal. I purchased this Dec 5, 2023 and it is now Sep 9, 2024 (just over 9 months.

Quieter than the original

My older disposal that came with a new house rusted through after 8 years of use. I replaced it with this one. I replaced the sink drain assembly and the entire install took less than 30 minutes. Make sure you have some plumbers putty on hand. The new unit is much higher quality and doesn't make as much noise.

Quiet - Disposal

I liked this garbage disposal. It is a lot quieter than the old 1/2-HP we replaced. Install was like others I had before. The only thing you should be aware of is - If you have a dishwasher hose to hook up, make sure you take out - the knock-out first. I had not though of that or saw anything mentioned, thus longer to install. Easy way is unscrew black plastic part that dishwasher hose attaches to on disposal, see where knock-out is, then take it out. Do this --Before You Install --

Heavy-duty feel and a brand I trust

All good out of the box but I haven't installed it yet. Delivered to my door - how can you beat that? Stainless steel wetted parts - I won't buy anything else. 3/4 hp is easily adequate for my needs. I like that the Reset button is on the front and easy to see. Color is good and I like the slim shape.
