AirStone uses patented technology to create real concrete stone that’s light enough to glue directly onto drywall – no metal lath or fasteners required. This innovation makes installation faster, simpler, and far less costly. These individual stones have the look and feel of natural rock, yet are ultra-light weight and durable, making them ideal for a wide range of projects. Installing AirStone is straightforward: apply adhesive to the back of the stone and press it to the wall. DIYers can easily bring the warmth, texture and beauty of stone to virtually any indoor or outdoor space. Note: For outdoor use, AirStone is ideal for adhering onto preexisting outdoor walls that are already weatherproof (i.e. brick, stucco, exposed concrete foundations, concrete block, siding, etc.). It’s also perfect for outdoor projects that are unattached to the home, such as outdoor kitchens, around pools, patios and porches, retaining walls, decks, columns, mailboxes, etc. AirStone is not intended to be used as the shell of your home. Wood sheathing fastened to the frame of a house will settle, expand or contract, and is not a rigid enough surface; adhesion problems or stone cracking may arise. Also note that AirStone is not in itself a waterproof sheathing.
