The Texas DOT silt fence is made with TerraTex SF-D silt fence fabric and is 36 in. high and 100 ft. long. The fabric is made of polypropylene geotextile and is attached to 24 in. high x 100 ft. wire for extra support. The wire is 12.5-Gauge welded wire with 2 in. x 4 in. openings.
