The self-contained watering system automatically waters your plants and has drainage holes to help prevent overwatering. The mulch cover helps prevent weed growth, and the aeration screen helps provide a sufficient amount of air to the plant roots. The resin used in this product is a food-safe high-density polyethylene. It is chemically inactive, boa free and naphthalene free and is perfectly safe for growing edible garden vegetables. The resin also includes chemically inert UV additives to prevent long-term degradation from direct sunlight.

Probably needs drainage holes as the soil stays wet too long. Which doesn't allow plants to grow correctly.

Decent for the price
Plastic, decently made for the price. Water fill pipeoddl6 does not connect or snap in place but can be packed in with soil to make it hold. Nice size for an elderly woman wanting to grow a few tomato plants!

Self Watering planter - it works!
I bought a couple of these several years ago. I went back for more this season. They work really well! I have a black thumb, and even I can keep things alive in these planters. We all know that container plants require frequent watering, but even in the heat of the summer you do not need to water every day. I usually plant herbs, but I have also done strawberries (on their 3rd year in the same container!!) and flowers. I did have one wheel break on one of my containers, which just means I ...
