Included With Laundry Appliance Installation

Connection of new appliances to existing power source (electrical, gas) and water source*
Unboxing and inspection of appliances to confirm make and model
Inspection of the appliances for visible damage (excludes appliances purchased at Lowe’s Outlet locations)

Laundry Appliance Installation Requirements

Washing machines require new hoses, 110-volt grounded 3-prong outlet, hot and cold water valves.

Electric dryers require an electrical cord, dryer duct and 240-volt outlet within 5-feet of hookup.

Gas dryers require a new dryer duct, gas connection line, 110-volt grounded 3-prong outlet and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear a path from the street to the space of delivery, ensuring it’s wide enough to accommodate your appliance.*
In inclement weather, ensure the path is clear of snow and/or ice.
Confine all pets to a separate area.
Clear the area by the appliance.
Make sure your existing appliance is empty.
Have all new cords required for connection.
Have an adult, age 18 or older, present at the time of appointment to sign for the delivery.

*Please Note: We can’t remove complex doors to get an appliance into the delivery space.

Lowe’s will stack your units if both units in a stackable set are purchased together. Lowe’s will add stacking to the basic installation service provided. A newly purchased stacking kit is required for this service.

Lowe’s won’t stack a washer or dryer with an existing washer or dryer as we can’t guarantee fit, suitability of the existing unit, or other critical items, such as the manufacturer’s warranty, when systems are mixed. In the event a single unit is purchased, either washer or dryer, only basic installation will be offered.

Please Note: In the event that Lowe’s must split the delivery of a purchased washer and dryer set due to lead time or other reasons, stacking will still be included upon the delivery of the second unit, provided the stacking kit is available at the time of the second delivery. Gas dryer installation must also still be purchased.
