With Lowe’s Special Order program, you can shop our virtually endless selection of appliances, hardware, tools, lighting, home décor, kitchen and bath products and more — online or in our stores. In addition to the thousands of items in stock in our stores, there are thousands more available through Special Order. Special Order arrival times vary by manufacturer and product.

Making a Purchase on Lowes.com

On the product detail page, Special Order items display an availability date, usually seven to 14 days from the order date. In-stock items are available for store pickup, parcel shipping or Lowe’s truck delivery.

Receiving Your Items

If you choose to have your Special Order shipped to a store, a customer service associate will contact you when your purchase arrives to arrange pickup or delivery.

Returns and Exchanges

Special Order-configured products may be subject to a 20% restocking fee if returned.

Finding the Product in Store

In your local Lowe's, each department has Special Order merchandise available. Associates in some departments have digital catalogs to help you find the right product for your project. In other departments, there’ll be samples of the Special Order items on display. If you don’t see what you're looking for, ask a customer service associate for assistance.

Making a Purchase in Store

After you’ve selected the product you want to order, a customer service associate will use the store's computer system to determine the price. After entering your order, they’ll give you a delivery estimate.

The customer service associate will also take your contact information, so you can be notified when your purchase arrives at the store. You can also make arrangements for Lowe's to deliver the product to you.  

When you are ready to check out, give the cashier your telephone number so they can look up the information and ring up your order.

Receiving Your Items

When your Special Order item arrives at the store, you’ll be notified by telephone or email that your purchase is available for pickup or delivery.
