  • Jigsaw with a fine-tooth blade
  • 120-grit sandpaper
  • Super glue
  • Wood glue (optional)


  • 2-ft x 8-ft spruce lattice, #429249
  • 2 - nickel clip rings, packs of 10, #333938
  • Valspar signature paint, Encounter, #4008-7B
  • 1-1/2-in wire brads (optional)

Step 1

Mark and cut the lattice to size (24-in x 30-in shown) using a jigsaw. Use wood glue to reattach any loose pieces and sand any rough edges.

Step 2

Apply two coats of paint to both sides of the lattice.

Step 3

Slip off the wire hanger from each clip. Dab super glue to the back of a clip and hold it in position until the glue dries. Repeat for the remaining clips -- we used 15 altogether.

Good to Know

Plan the clip placement around the sizes of your photos. For large photos, space clips at every other intersection of the lattice strips.

Step 4

Lattice photo display

If the display will be mounted on a wall, hold it in position and mark the top corners of two openings on opposite sides of the lattice. Drive wire brads at the marks and hang the display.
