What Customers Are Saying
The product received mixed reviews. Some customers were initially satisfied with its features, but many experienced issues over time, such as the sensor or touchless functionality stopping working properly after a few months, poor water pressure, and leakage problems. The proprietary nature of the parts made it difficult to repair or replace when the warranty expired, leading to the consensus that this is not a reliable long-term option.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.Motion sensor placement frustration
The motion sensor faces forward, which causes several unintended off/on water flow issues. It turns off and on randomly while washing dishes or hands because you can't help but activate it, it faces directly at you! Why not place it facing the left side (opposite of the handle)? It also reacts to any reflection off of stainless steel, so washing and rinsing a pot becomes an exercise in frustration. Add the fact of non standard parts and this is a big NO GO. There are other options with the same ...
No warranty
Replaced 6 faucets at one time about 18 months ago. Put this one in the kitchen. Last month the sensor stopped working. Tried multiple sets of replacement batteries with no luck. Called customer service (I won’t say rude, but not helpful). Says the manufacturer will have to send me a replacement sensor. Takes me info, says I should hear from them in a few days. (Have never heard from anyone). So my issue is the faucet wouldn’t turn on manually. That meant no water in the kitchen sink. For a cou...
Don't purchase
I was happy with this faucet for awhile. Four months in the sensor stopped working. I was disappointed but it wasn't a deal breaker because it was still under warranty. I called Lowes customer service who contacted the manufacturer and asked them to send a replacement sensor. Long story short after a month and two more calls the manufacturer never responded. I packaged the faucet in a trash bag and returned it to the local Lowe's where I purchased it. Lowes gladly refunded my money and apologize...

Great DYI! If I can, you can.
I am not handy outside of being able to paint. I was fed up with my leaking faucet and my husband’s busy schedule. I found this on clearance and grabbed it. I got courageous and decided to try to do it myself. I knew it would end up disastrous. I called my dad over before I started, hoping he’d help me. He said “I’ll come back tomorrow, this will take all day”. Me being impatient, I decided to give it a whirl. I took out my old faucet and installed this one, alone, in less than an hour! It was r...

major issues
The faucet looks good, and is easy to install and operate, but... 1. The aerator is far from perfect, a lot of splatter. This would be expected in the high pressure sprayer mode, but not in the "regular" mode. 2. The motion sensor control valve box lasted 6 months. 3. When I reviewed the warranty, I learned that the "lifetime" policy covers only leaks, and is essentially limited to the cartridge. A representative confirmed that the rest of the parts carry a 12 months warranty. Furthermore, that...

Lost all water pressure
This only worked correctly for a couple months and then it lost water pressure.. It is getting worse. It is almost impossible to do anything in the sink now. We spent plenty of money on this faucet & had no idea that within a few months time we’d not have a working faucet.. Why save your box and receipt? .. Because your going to need it with this product. I literally searched for hour at Lowes this afternoon trying to find this product on the shelf or the display.. & even recruited the help from...

No Replacement Parts
Despite the Allen & Roth Customer responses that "helpfully" appear below every comment saying to contact the company for replacement parts, it's not true. The unit has been discontinued, and neither A&R nor Lowe's carries parts for it. A&R customer service specifically said they do not carry the RP 70708, and then sends you to Lowe's, who also says they do not carry parts for it. If your sensor is broken, you have two options only: use it without a sensor or buy a new faucet.

No default to manual from sensor
I have absolutely enjoyed this faucet, easy installation, beautiful upgrade, nozzle & hose with 2 spraying options. The problem is when it was below freezing for over 88 hours the faucet was not able to be left dripping overnight therefore froze up the pipes. When the batteries are removed from housing it just stops working completely… needless to say it is going to have to be replaced due to the flaw that’s not able to endure windy, below freezing weather. Not excited over dropping $200 for a k...
The sensor is not well designed
While the faucet is beautiful and the pullout is adequate in length, the sensor is not easy to use. It shuts off at the most inopportune moments such as while the garbage disposal is in use. You seemingly can not opt out of the sensor. When the batteries were removed in the hopes that the sensor could be bypassed, the faucet would not work at all. Can you imagine the batteries dying and you have no replacement ones at home? You'd have to cannibalize the TV remote or run out immediately to buy re...
It works
The good: Very easy to install, though I didn't use the supplied parts to keep the faucet secure to the sink, I just used the old ones as I couldn't get the new ones on. The sensor to turn on and off works well. The bad: The hose is very short, giving maybe a foot of extension, making it difficult to maneuver around large dishes. The distance from the faucet head to the faucet stem is also very short, making it difficult to maneuver around large dishes because it will turn on and off the senso...
