For the price that I paid for this machine I expected more. My mistake was I bought it online. I thought that was smart. No fabric softener. dispenser, no soap dispenser, very loud. I expected more out of a whirlpool. I had a Maytag that died. I had a lot of complaints about that one, but it was quiet and easy to use. Now I’m stuck with this. I just hate that I paid so much.

installation and service
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A few problems. There was an installation problem and later a service tech’s attitude. When it was installed the quick wash was started but verifying cold water was being dispensed was not validated. The service tech’s attitude came out and informed me my cold water tap was not dispensing water. As he left the comment “this was a long wasted trip” as he left. After getting a plumber out to fix the problem the wash cycle was completed.

Great machine! Only feature missing is water level

The machine washes very efficiently on the cycles I have used so far. I am eager to see how well it washes a king size quilt! Terrible!
We have had this for 6 months and it’s the worst washer I have EVER owned. No matter how to add clothes, more or less it bangs around. The clothes come out dirty, and the drain & spin doesn’t work, the extra rinse is off and it still pours water in like it’s washing all over again for another hour. NEVER BY WHIRLPOOL AGAIN! I have had my share in washers, I have been doing laundry for 30 years and have never had such a bad washer before.

Avoid this terrible machine
We purchased this device in Feb. 2024. With a few months we had multiple repairs, and multiple warranty claims. Within the past month, the washer began to spin out of control and make deafening noises. We luckily purchased the extended warranty, but were told after tech came out, that the washer is not repairable and we’re given a gift card to purchase a new one. Love this washer
My old washer finally gave out. My mom has had Samsung etc and all the newer brands just cannot outdo the originals like whirlpool and Maytag. They make better products that last! This washer fits everything!! My clothes are clean and smell amazing! It fits a king size duvet and what used to be three loads is now more like one or two. Highly recommend. The only thing I wish it had was a place to put the laundry detergent. Still love it though! Looking to buy the matching dryer soon!

Bought the machine 3 years ago. It has been repaired now 3-4 times. The wiring in the back kept breaking and other things. Now the door lock is broken. Wiring broke again. It gets used about 1-2 times a week. Just my husband and myself. Will not buy another Whirlpool and do not recommend the brand. My brother bought the same machine. His had to have the computer board replaced. He sold it and got an older used set and has had no trouble with that set. Do not buy this machine.

2washes in one - removable agitator
I recently (August 2026) purchased this as my previous lovely whirlpool stopped working. I thought by getting the removable agitator it would be a great help for washing large items. This machine doesn’t even balance out the items properly and is very noisy and clanky - horrible sounding - one has to guess when to put in the softener as there is no slot for it to go into and no indication when softener is due.
