The Trex Deck Kit is designed for and includes all materials necessary for a 192-sq. ft. deck build. The Trex Deck Kit does not include a substructure. Composite decks can be built on an existing substructure or materials for one can be purchased separately. Additional non-Trex fasteners may be needed and must be purchased separately.

After years of using treated lumber for building porches and decks, I made the switch to Trex. Trex is best used in those places where you do not ge a lot of sun to dry out your deck. Lack of sun promotes faster decay even in treated lumber. Trex is more expensive but you'll be glad you spent the extra money. No more rot, curling of boards or painting and staining.
