Scotts® Turf Builder® Halts® Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food stops crabgrass before it invades and feeds grass for a fast green-up after winter
Prevents listed weeds including crabgrass, barnyard grass, foxtail, Poa annua, chickweed, and oxalis
Apply pre-emergent weed killer plus fertilizer to a dry lawn in early spring (prior to 3rd or 4th mowing) before temperatures are regularly in the 80s; rain, snow, or freezing conditions after application will not affect the performance of this product
Do not apply this lawn care product to Dichondra and Bentgrass

I grabbed this bag of fertilizer because I tried it last year and liked it. The instructions are a little easier on this one because you put it on a dry yard and it just has to rain a bit in the next 2-3 days. That's easier than some of the other fertilizers because the other ones require a wet yard. It is best to use this one before it gets too hot, but don't use it when it is still cold at night. I've had a turf managment company fertilizing, seeding and aerating my lawn for two years. Results were just ok. This year I decided to do it on my own using Scott's products. I laid my first application a month ago and my lawn is ALREADY looking AWESOME!! Did not cover entire lawn.
I got two bags which was enough to cover my lawn but either I wasn't walking fast enough or listing of how many sq ft the bags is supposed to cover was off, but it did not cover my entire lawn only about 80%. Not sure about absorption but after rain that night still a lot of product visible and don't know if that is correct or not.

Is it Lowe’s or is it Scott’s?
So do I blame Lowe’s or do I blame Scott’s for the size of chunks I found in these bags? Pour a little break up the clumps, poor little more break up the clumps. I’m mixing my Scott’s fertilizers and guess what the weed feed had in it? Yep… Just as many clumps. And to top it all off Lowe’s… Why bother putting all of my information in your website if you can’t bring up the store closest to me? Who cares where my Internet signal is coming from… I sign in and a store 3-1/2 hours away automatically ...
