Our ring doorbell is a great way to keep an eye on people getting close or coming to our door. I appreciate that it sends notifications to my phone when there’s movement and I also like that I can see what’s going on in real time- as well as talk through my phone to someone at the door. I have had my Ring Doorbell for a year at this point and it continues to work well. I am able to use the doorbell for over a week before I need to charge the battery.

Good camera but not the best for busy streets.
We own three of the 3rd Gen battery doorbells. Living on a busy street the cameras have helped make sure we can keep an eye on our property! There are a few cons to having them on a busy street; there has been a few times the cameras haven’t picked up activity, rang too late, or picks up random objects. Although my front door ring seems to struggle keeping up with the demand of the high traffic road, my back door ring works perfect!

Definitely hardwire if you are going to buy!
Very easy to set up. I have an awning that covers the doorbell so I haven't had any issues with bad weather affecting the lens or the functionality of the button. It connects easily to my Alexa and I can put it on my Alexa show so that I can get a live view of who is ringing the doorbell. I don't really enjoy the battery life, but that's on me for not hardwiring it. Love my ring doorbell. Easy to install and set up. The Ring software is easy to install and understand too. Tons of accessories to help install if you are renting or dont want to drill any extra holes in your door to mount. Video quality is amazing, and knowing that little doorbell is there keeping you informed on visitors, packages being delivered and possible trespassers is everything now days. 🙂 Ring Doorbell Cam stopped all package theft at my apartment!
This has been a lifesaver for making sure my packages don’t get stolen anymore. Just having it on the door has stopped all package theft. Im kind of addicted to the Neighbor app too for finding out things that I should be on alert for in my neighborhood (coyotes, fires, etc.) The battery lasts a really long time. The screw and screwdriver to remove the battery are a unique shape so that the average criminal couldn’t just take it out.
