Incredible product. I've had this unit for over 2 years now and have done many cooks. I once did a 20lb and a 13lb spatchcock turkey at the exact same time and it cooked so even! The light inside is a game changer and the stainless racks and inside make it incredibly easy to clean. My favorite part is actually the arms on the lid that make it so easy to open and close when compared to other models. Nice but has a design flaw (other PB smokers too)
The heat shield is not sealed away from the temperature sensor. Hot air directly from the burner blows onto the temp probe, which throws off the internal temperature. The gap also allows ashes to blow out all over your food. Can be fixed with foil but it's ridiculous that they sell it this way.

This grill is awesome it has the double wall ( insulation during the winter ) and a grill light, lid seal WiFi to watch temps from your phone ,and has the same quality in build from my old pbs1150 series ran it for 6 years before a new one I’ll keep buying them if they keep lasting 6 years with out issues.

Amazing
This is the most amazing smoker that I have encountered. It was easy to assemble and even easier to use! So far we have smoked jerk chicken, brisket, Cornish Hens, beef ribs every last one was perfection!

Bought this smoker from lowes and a month in had to have pitboss send me a new motherboard. AND YOU HAVE TO REPLACE IT YOURSELF. I clean my smoker before every cook and it STILL overheats. Set it to 250 and shoots up to effing 300. U set it to 225 it shoots up to 260. And I always keep it on about 30 minutes before starting my actual cooks. For a "PRO" SERIES I sure see a lot of same old issues with pitboss on reddit threads.

Great upgrade!
After a week of research, I landed on the Pit Boss 1600 Pro Series as the one that would fulfill the most of my checkboxes. This is an upgrade from a smaller 24 inch smoker. I look forward to many smoking sessions to come. It was okay to put together. My son and I did it in about an hour and a half. The skirt pieces are a little difficult to get positioned while the grill is on its side. I loosened them and made repositioned them once the grills weight was on the actual legs.

great grill, horrible phone app... allow offline app connectivity.
so far i don't really have any complaints about the grill. the phone app however has issues connecting to the server all the time and you can't manage your grill without it signing in and authenticating with their server which in my opinion is trash.. i should be able to manage my grill via local wifi (without internet) or bluetooth. if you want to use it during major holiday (thanksgiving, christmas, etc) buy a 3rd party wireless thermometer because their servers will be overloaded and you can'...

Worked Great 2 times and died part way 3rd use
I used this grill 2 times then it died. Worked great, WIFI worked well, controlling from the phone, the probes, etc. Everything was great until the 3rd time I used it. Half way through cooking $60.00 dollars of meat it just stopped everything. Temperature display showed 0 degrees, hopper quit, probes said they were not connected. Could not turn it off.
