As a result, you can transform your yard easily, with beauty, versatility, and strength. First, start with site preparation and excavation. Stake out the area where the retaining wall block will be. Dig a small trench, so half of the block fits in the ground. Next the base preparation. Tamp soil in the trench to create a ridged surface. Add 1” of sand to the bottom of the trench. Then, start leveling and laying stones. Lay stone side by side and check for level. Then, stack additional courses with the construction adhesive staggered on the course below. And finally, stack stones in courses, staggering the joints to the wall height.
