Terrible false advertisement

It absolutely does not do what it states. It is not a trap its basically a window for you to hope you can see one because it does not stick to it. Horrible product. Doesn't even deserve a star.

This is not a trap!

So these are not traps!! They are tiny boxes that apparently draw bed bugs to them (I haven’t seen any), but if they enter the box, they can just walk right back out again. Why is it advertised as a trap? In order for the consumer to learn that bed bugs are present, they’d have to stare at this box and just happen to see if bugs stopped by for a cup of coffee before walking right back out. Total rip-off. This was a complete waste of money.

Did not realize it is technically not a trap for bed bugs . Ridiculous amount of money for absolute garbage . Scam !!! All this is suppose to do is tell you if you have bed bugs . Looking around your sleeping area would do that and it costs you nothing . From such a big exterminator chain is embarrassing that they have there name on this product .

Button doesnt appear to work nor does trap

doesnt work at all. I followed the instructions and pressed the button on both, no faint smell and the press button just popped back up after several presses. I thought maybe I just couldnt smell the scent so I left them and a few days later found a 6 inch vertical brown line against my brand new dark gray upholstered bed, when i grabbed a flashlight, I discovered it was a line of bed bugs. DO NOT BUY

THIS IS NOT A TRAP despite what is written on the box. Bugs are not caught if present. You must be lucky enough and time it right to spot one should you have any bedbugs in your home or hotel. Actually a useless product. Interestingly, the positive reviews are vague and seem fake to me. I would have given the product zero stars if it would have let me.

Piece of mind when traveling.

I received this product for an upcoming trip. I am always paranoid about bugs in the hotel room. I also go this for home use even though I’m sure there are none in the house. The device is small and compact and can be placed where my pets can get to it. A big plus for me. I will place it under the bed mattress as suggested. It offers a good value for the product. Overall I think the trap is nice.

Worthless

This product is worthless. It says trap in the name “Bed Bug Trap” but yet it is not meant to be a trap; only to monitor activity (this is the feedback left by Ortho Customer Service on other reviews). How is it supposed to monitor activity if it doesn’t trap them? Waste of money

Purchased to verify I did not bring bed bugs home from an infected hotel room. The “trap” is only a walk thru opportunity for the bug, I may or may not see one since nothing is discouraging the bag from walking right back out. Do not recommend this product.

Doesn't work

Doesn't trap or detect anything, and the "faint" smell is actually rather foul. I followed the directions exactly after getting bit a couple times in the night, but the bugs completely ignored the trap. Luckily it was a mild infestation that I was able to treat with a natural spray. Don't waste your money on these traps, you'll have better luck finding bugs with a flashlight and careful manual inspection.

Uh - why is this called a trap if it doesn’t trap? What a complete waste of money. It does absolutely nothing. Bugs can crawl in and right back out before you could ever detect them. Maybe if you get up during the night and check quickly with a flashlight. Very very disappointing.
