What Customers Are Saying
This cordless reciprocating saw offers excellent power and performance, easily cutting through a variety of materials. It features smooth, vibration-free operation that reduces user fatigue, as well as useful features like variable speed and an adjustable shoe for enhanced cutting control. While some find it on the heavier side, the overall consensus is that the saw's capabilities more than make up for this, making it a highly recommended option for both professionals and DIY users.

I've had this saw for a couple of years, and in that time it has never come up short. While there are lighter and more compact saws out there this one has it's benefits. Like others in this class it has tool free blade changes. Above and beyond that the 36 Volt system provides as much power as a blade can take. It also let's you switch between standard reciprocating and orbital cutting, so you can make the best use of your blades. While it may be bulky and not lightweight, the vibration dampenin...

Powerful tool
With a fresh battery and pruning blade I was cutting through clay and 10" diameter roots like butter when removing a tree stump.

Godzilla
As a handyman, I’ve had the chance to put the Metabo HPT 36V MultiVolt™ Cordless Brushless Reciprocating Saw Kit through its paces, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best tools I’ve ever used. When paired with a Diablo Carbide blade, this saw made quick work of removing 80-year-old cast iron pipes – it was impressive. I can see why people call it "Godzilla" because this tool is a beast. Even before other brands jumped into the 40V space, the CR36DA was the king, and it still performs at the...

The green beast
Pair this saw with a T-PWR tabless battery and your jaw will drop. its insanely powerful, yet smooth. I traded in my old corded saw at a pawn shop after how good this was. It is heavy, but it rips!
Great 36v tool
I’ve used this saw on demolition projects and it absolutely performs. It cuts through framing, nails, and mixed materials without hesitation. The power is exactly what you’d expect from a heavy duty tool. It is a little on the heavier side, but that’s expected with the size especially considering you can also run it with the AC adapter for even more output. The rafter hook is a great addition and makes it easy to hang when moving around the job site.

Battery & Charger not included!
Does not include the battery in the listing, except in ONE photo, BURIED among the other 10 photos. I would have bought the charger had I known this. I specifically read through the specs and dropdowns in the bottom where IT SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED THAT INFORMATION!!!! Feels like an intentional bait-and-switch.
Great Features
I was watching a YouTube video with a guy making his rounds to booths at the Ohio expo Mart tool show and one of the first stops was at Spyder, were they demonstrated their new 3 x 3 reciprocating saw blade. The blade was impressive because it has teeth on three sides and could cut backwards, but what I was more impressed with was the reciprocating saw they were using. It was green, so I suspected Metabo but after much research I verified it was the Metabo 36 V reciprocating saw. After watchi...

Heavy duty without the vibration
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tank of a sawzall. Tried to use it against concrete forms for vibrating but the UVP is so good that it's useless for that purpose, which is more of a pro than a con.

A beast of a recip saw!
Beastie boy of a saw! Pair it with a quality blade it’ll make quick work whether it’s wood, metal or whatever. Only gripe with it is it’s a big hefty boy. You can go ahead cancel that gym membership.
