Hot Garbage

This thing is almost useless. Super underpowered and short stroke length. Takes forever to cut through any wood with it. I'm talking about the one handed recip saw. Half or more of these reviews are for an impact or drill on this page lol. Professional builder here with many other metabo HPT tools that I love. This one was just a miss.

Nice saw - but only when cutting on the ground

I have owned and have used many great Hitachi corded and cordless power tools over the years. Did lots of review reading and thought this would be a great saw for remodeling and general use. As Powerful as a Corded Saw

I was especially convinced to choose this 7 1/4" circular saw as reviews mentioned how light weight it is and I have so many blades the same size from my 25 year old corded Skillsaw (which still works) to help me compensate the arthritis in my hands. Don’t waste your money

I bought this on July 2 this year and it’s already dead. It doesn’t cut well through wood. I put a battery on it the other day and it did nothing and then started smoking. I have a metabo framing nailer and multi tool that work great. I should’ve bought the Milwaukee for less money. If I can’t my money back, it’s going in Lowe’s trash can.

Look no further

Very solid design, light weight; no flimsy material anywhere. Electronic brake is superb; low noise mode is extremely nice; you can use it in your apartment. Great Value!

Looking to re-build my bouncy deck this spring, so I've been looking for a quality circular saw. I already have the Metabo HPT 18V Triple Hammer and Hammer Drill, also my uncle who works construction highly recommended this saw. Best one out there

The best one out there, the only that may be as good is the Dewalt flexvolt but the way Metabo gaves batteries with any any 36v bare tool purchase this last year you just cannot beat it. I have almost every multivolt tool Metabo hpt makes including their larger tools, table and chop saws and they are just top of the line, I have gotten a free battery on probably 75% of my purchases and now they are offering free battery and charger. I've owned them all and these are top of the line.

great but not perfect

item is great functional could be a lil smaller love the adjustable shoe. Love the ability to use jig saw blades. wish that it had a longer stroke like the milwaukee or even dewalt which is its biggest downside

Terrible Guard

While this saw has the power and battery life to do everything you want it to, I feel the blade guard just gets in the way too often. While you can just manually move the guard, there are times where that just isn't possible, and the way this guard catches tends to throw off the cuts when you have to force it past. While a small issue, it drives me absolutely crazy.

Disappointed

This saw is okay for cutting thin relatively soft material like Pvc pipe. Beyond that, you will die of old age waiting for a cut to finish. 2x4 with a new blade and freshly charged battery takes over a minute. I jept looking to see if there is a speed control that I missed somewhere, but no. Simply doesn’t have the power to do the job .
