Fridge was great for 15 months and then the freezer started acting up and after a couple weeks completely went out. Looking at reviews online now, it looks like the freezer issue is common. Do not buy! Complete waste of money. I used to love LG phones so I figured I would like their fridge but never again. It's pathetic that companies only give 1 year warranties nowadays.

Love it
We love our refrigerator for the storage it provides and how sleek it looks. I like having the drinking, chilled water spout inside the fridge rather than outside, less clean up and who wants to see that anyway. We also love having an extra big storage freezer drawer on the bottom.
Most horrible experience ever…and it’s not over
The refrigerator has never worked. We plugged it in according to the instructions and it has never cooled. After several days it also began leaking oil from the compressor area. Because the unit has never functioned properly, I cannot comment on cooling, efficiency, noise, or any of its advertised features. So far LG has consistently been unhelpful. I have called 2x a day everyday, no solutions at all. Stay away.

There is something wrong with the bottom door freezer. It doesn’t open all the way, as if it is caught on something. I’ve tried everything the site advised and still no luck. It is not ice build up either. And when I try to get it open I have to yank it, but not too hard so it doesn’t break. So I am stuck with a fridge that has a freezer that only opens 1/4 of the way. I was happy to find a 25+ cu. ft. fridge for under $1600, I gave it 4 stars because there are a few issues that are minor. This LG fridge (French door/bottom freezer) has enough room in the fridge and freezer, the shelves on the door are roomy. I love the "Counter Depth Max", not longer sticks so far out from cabinets. I do not like that the shelves can only be adjusted to preset side supports. I cannot put anything tall (like my Brita pitcher) on any of the shelves, I have to put it on the door...

Issue with freezing in refrigerator
I bought the LG refrigerator at the end of June. I like everything about it except water on the top shelf of the refrigerator freezes about 1/4" - 1/2" at night. I have turned the temperature up as high as is allowed to 43 degrees and this problem persists. Fortunately, I have not had anything else on the top shelf freeze such as strawberries or eggs.
