No longer works after a few years

We've had this driver for just under 4 yrs and the drying ability has gone down dramatically after the first 1-2 years of using it. We can no longer use this to dry towels or heavier fabric as they would come out smelling like mildew after several hours of poor drying. I've tried all the troubleshooting (condenser care, cleaning all the filter and drains), but none of this seem to work. After reading the existing reviews, this doesn't seem to be a one of issue. Mostly good, one design flaw…

We’ve had this washer for four years. We’ve replaced the hose from the detergent tray to the drum twice, because the drum rubs the hose and eventually it wears a hole and causes a leak. LG put a foam pad on the drum to prevent this, but it doesn’t really fix the problem.

Worst purchase ever/ Do not buy

I purchased the LG WM1455HWA washer expecting reliability, but unfortunately, it didn’t even last two years—and now it leaks water. At first, the washer worked fine and did a decent job cleaning clothes. However, over time, it started leaking, which is extremely frustrating for an appliance at this price point (around $1,000+). A washer should last many years, not fail this quickly under normal use. The leak creates a real inconvenience and potential damage risk to floors and surrounding areas...

Best I've had in 50 years

I live in a old RV. I'm retired and I had a machine that did both wash and dry and I wasn't satisfied with the dry part, had to hang clothes out all the time. When it wore out I decided to buy just a washing machine and I picked this LG because it would fit in my space. I LOVE THIS MACHINE. It washes and spins my clothes so good and it hold more than my old machine. It was expensive but well worth it. I have a Panda 110 dryer above it that I also love. My RV is 30 amp.

Not good

Dries poorly compared to gas dryers even when new and operating with all filters clean, water tank empty, and "Energy Saver" off. Its companion washer performs poorly compared even to a base model LG washer that is 10 years older, failing to get clothing as clean and free of odor as one would want. The fundamental design of these units is simply bad. They are ineffective and waste time and energy.

Awful, do not buy. Horrible wrinkles

While in theory this seems like a great idea for small spaces, it’s an awful appliance. It isn’t just this brand either, I’ve had a whirlpool combo and now this LG Thinq. It can get really loud, it does not dry clothes well at all, often leaving them damp. It also leaves clothes very wrinkled. It’s rare my clothes come out wrinkle free no matter what I do to try to prevent wrinkles, including wrinkle protection and taking the clothes out as soon as they’re done. We moved into a condo with this dryer pre installed because its ventless. It was pretty much new. It worked fine at first but then like others have complained, it got worse and worse at drying over time and needed multiple cycles for many hours to dry one load of wash. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

DO NOT BUY/SUPPORT!!! If something is to go wrong with your unit there is ZERO support and you cant get on the phone with anyone who can help resolve the issue. Basically talking to programed robots. Good improvement over older model

I've had this washer for a week. It replaced a nine year old version of basically the same model, 24" wide LG washer compatible with matching condenser dryer. My 2016 model finally had to go after the drum started leaking. This new washer is nearly silent and hardly vibrates. Clothes come out clean and it washes quickly.
