Stopped working after 2 weeks. returning.

I was replacing a similar schlage smart lock that failed after 3 years. this one failed after 2 weeks. Schlage actually sent me a new Latch Bolt at no cost, so I put the old one back on, and it's working fine now. Great customer service Schlage!

Happy Wife

For 2 years my wife wanted a keyless entry. I was concerned about the installation. However, this Kwikset unit was so easy to install. It works perfectly. The instructions were easy to follow. It was easy to rekey with my current keys. It looks much nicer than the old beat up door knob. My wife is so happy and that is what makes life good. If you ever thought of getting a keyless entry I would highly recommend.

I have a few gripes Gripe 1 .... It requires 9v why a lot of the locks use AA etc. but what battery it uses is not it's short fall. Gripe 2 .... As other posts have listed the outside handle is a torx (#8 BTW) and the inside uses the Allen (the Allen is supplied in the kit) And yes I was a little caught off guard it was left hand thread. Battery must be in place and attached for outside

I was doing fine till I thought I was done but outside handle wouldn’t engage. Reread instructions tried reinstalling twice still no luck. Instructions a little vague. Watched several video before I found solution to my problem. An older guy had the same problem but figured out that the battery had to be plugged in before it would allow out side handle to work. Instructions didn’t say anything about that and neither did the 2 previous videos.

Failed within a month

Bought this a month ago. Will not do anything. Key pad doesn’t work. Key won’t work to lock the door. Absolutely useless. Have tried all of the suggestions we can possibly find online, it will simply not work. Extremely disappointing.

Dont do in store pick up. Waste of time.

The product is what i wanted. The way I got it? Strange. Bought it online for in store pick up. The product was shipped from God knows where and was going to take more than a week. I decided to go in store to pick up myself same day. When I got to the store the same product was in stock. Why was another shipped?? Why the delay?? Poorly managed customer service! Then on top of it all I was mailed a refund card!! How inefficient! Please, in the future, just credit my account.

I have a right hand opening door. The interior handle points the wrong direction. Says it can be changed but I’ve not figured it out. It puts the Allen screw on the opposite side of the hole.
