Thin Wall Tubing

Tis trimmer is nice & lightweight...BUT the shaft is very thin walled tubing.... I've broken 2 of these already; the bend very easily.

Kobalt has proven to be good quality items, but it is frustrating that when I purchase items like the set, I cannot also purchase extra trimmer spools, in order to make things more efficent. This was a gift, but it would have been extra nice to be able to obtain an extra spool and string at the same time. Could have ordered the string, but not the spool, and still can't find an extra spool This would help those of us who are handicapped.

Compact and easy to use

We have a small grassy side yard that needed some edging around the patio and planting beds. The weed trimmer worked well on the grass and weeds. Taking everything down with minimal effort. We use the blower for the patio, pool, and around the house (knocking down cobwebs and such). Our property is 7400 sq feet and the blower was powerful enough to clear all of these spaces. Good power, light challenge with comfort

Good power compared to my prior cheapo trimmer. And button mechanism is smooth and consistent, especially compared to several other models I’ve tested. Not as good: Even with handle in high position I still feel like I need an awkward arm angle to get the cutting head in the position to trim. Seems like most trimmers observe a straight design vs the s-curve though.

Lowes has sent used product instead of brand new

I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase. The item I received was clearly used, even though it was advertised and sold as brand new. There were visible signs of wear and it did not meet the condition described at all. On top of that, the package was missing important parts, making the product incomplete and unusable as intended. Received my product and unpacked and charged the battery, packed very well, and used the weed eater the following day and was quite impressed at the power, had no problem using it and finished my whole yard with battery power to spare..
