Creates more work than it saves

In theory, this product is very helpful and convenient. However, the shute is very narrow and clogs very easily even if the bags aren’t full. The bags also have to be emptied very frequently. I have a small/mid sized front yard and usually have to turn off the mower 1-2 times while mowing the front yard. It unfortunately takes more time than it saves.

John Deere 100 Series Bagger

I opened the bagger today, planning to install it on my new mower, and found the box missing many of the required assembly pieces, including the blades and support rods for the bags. I plan to contact John Deere on Monday about parts or a replacement — very disappointed.

Excellent purchase decision

Really like how easy it is to access and empty the bags. Sturdy product with a large capacity. There's also easy access to clear shute if needed.

Serviceable, Expensive, Flimsy, Imperfect

A couple of things I want to touch on before starting my review. One, this is for a 42" John Deere mower. I saw two people complaining that the blades didn't fit their 48" mower.....well yeah, there's a 48" bagger you should have purchased. Two, you need to use the high lift blades that come with the bagger. They are specifically engineered to send the clippings up the chute and into your bag. Poor information

I purchased this bagger was told by Lowes employees tge bagger will be installed when delivered m. Will the bagger was not installed when delivered. I called the corporate office only to find out this service is not offered! So I was I tod otherwise?? To make a sale!!!!!

Received previously used product

The main reason I'm giving this product a 2-star rating is because of what my local Lowes did and not the product itself. Yes, I paid $499 for this bagger online (which is pretty steep for a bagger) and picked it up at the store. Once I got home and opened the box, I noticed parts were thrown in loosely and it was missing several cotter pins, and one of the steel rods for the grass catcher assembly. Great Grass Catcher

Nice solid and well engineered grass catcher. Only had one problem and that was installing the chute onto the mower deck. Tolerances for fitment were a little tight and it made for chute very hard to get into place. The plans were good but the YouTube video was better. Lowering the mower deck made it easier to get the chute attached.

Used item sold as new

I paid $528 for this bagger (including tax) system from the Polaris Ohio Lowe’s store and upon bring it home and opening the box I noticed that all the parts were just thrown loose into the box along with the cotter pins, and some were missing. Also noticed that the bags were covered in grass clippings and the metal bracket was wet and also covered in wet soggy grass. I immediately took it back to the store and returned it.
