Does not work with Nest app - only Home
My original wired Gen 1 Nest Doorbell had been having issues for about a year, and finally quit. This is a definite upgrade - larger view of front door area, AND when the doorbell is pushed, it will announce by name anyone who is in your Familiar Faces. Complicated and NOT user friendly!
The Google Nest battery doorbell looks great and has a clear video image. However, the maintenance issues are incredibly non-user friendly and counter-intuitive. First, if you change your wifi router, you have to disconnect the doorbell, return it to factory settings, and reinstall as-if-new (whereas the Google thermostat just has you re-enter the new wifi address).
