Overall, the washer is fairly easy to use. It does not have all the fancy new bells and whistles - no internet connections. But that's okay with me. The reason for the 2-star rating is that I can not get the soap to rinse out. I use the correct amount of soap ( Tide HE liquid) - maybe even a little less than suggested. The washer is not over loaded at all. I use the auto sense setting, with the water temperature set to warm. And do an extra rinse. With all this, I still have soap residue...

So loud!
It's only been a week so I don't have much to report back with yet, but I can say this washer is so freaking loud!!! Its running and seems to clean fine, but the noise is more than I'm used to hearing from washer! Going to try and call someone to see if this is normal.

Really great washer
I cannot believe how many clothes fit in this washer. My old washer was an extra large capacity. This large capacity could hold twice as many clothes, but I’m careful to not overload it. A couple of things I’m having to get used to, but are certainly not bad. The drum is super deep.I’m only 5’4” so it’s a tiny bit hard to reach the clothes on the bottom. Also,you have to choose the extra rinse cycle or fabric softener will not dispense. But like ai said, these are not bad, I just need to get us...

Great performance
The washer is doing a good job cleaning the clothes and the performance so far is great. The auto water level does not work for me on some loads. I don’t like when the washer turns back on after the wash cycle is finished. You have to turn it off twice.

Everything about the washer is working out good. The capacity, the controls, the cycles are all performing good. The one complaint is the auto water level. It does not work for us. The use of the medium level on most loads are working better for us.

Lasts one year
If you buy this washer get the extended warranty! Mine worked for 11 months then started making a loud grinding noise when agitating. Thankfully I made it in under the one year warranty! Needs new transmission. I would not buy GE appliances again.

Update to Pros/Cons
Another issue to consider: if you are a short person like me, you may have trouble reaching into the bottom of the drum to retrieve small items. I keep a pair of kitchen tongs beside the washer to get items out of the bottom. My arm reach is only 21". I like the fact that the fins on the agitator are located halfway up so they are not lashing the clothes if you wash a medium size load. Today I washed a medium load, set it on My Setting and walked away. I have decided I do like this machine...

Good machine for me
It does a good job getting the clothes clean within a reasonable amount of time. I like that I can see how many minutes the wash will take, and my girls love watching through the clear lid. It has plenty of settings but isn’t too complicated. It’s not the quietest washer, but it does self level itself so it doesn’t literally shake the whole laundry room like my old washer. I’ve only had this for three weeks but so far so good.
