I received this grinder as a gift about 6 months ago. I am a welder and complain often about my corded grinder(which is a beast) because I have leads, ground cables, and other trip hazards around so the last thing I want is another cord to trip on. Love the soft start and stop

This one is longer, but I find that it is at last easier to hold, and better balanced. My favorite part is that it has a "soft" brake when you let off the paddle. Great grinder!
I am using this to carve saddles into logs for building. I have to admit I was skeptical of using a cordless tool for this task. Happy to report that it has exceed my expectations and performs the work without bogging down or draining the battery to fast. Don't Recommend
I've had this grinder for 4 months and have used very sparingly. Went to use it yesterday and the rpms were significantly lower than usual and it started smoking/getting extremely hot in the housing. Now it barely turns at all with fresh batteries. I use other dewalt cordless products that are 5 stars, this one is not one of them. Even when it did work correctly it would only last a few minutes cutting with a 4 ah battery. Hopefully they honor their warranty.

I just picked up this angle grinder from Lowe's today and it came with a 20 volt Max 6 amp battery as well. The battery is a bit of a beast, but it seems to balance out the grinder quite well. Right now I've got a 4 and 1/2 in cut off wheel on there, and it cuts like butta. This actually cuts faster with this very thin cut off wheel then using a chop saw with 1/8 inch wheel. My daily go to grinder, use with one hand often
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this tool for about 2 or 3 years, however long it has been out... Upgraded from the older brushed 20v version, and i like the paddle switch a lot better because it doesnt torque my wrist as bad when using one handed. I use this for sanding, cutting, sometimes grinding too, but not one main task. I like the brake, keeps me from having to slow it on my shoe or something so i dont damage the floor when setting it down.

Fantastic versatile tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got it to dig myself out of a nasty access hole where I couldn't get mains power - hanging 30 feet down, and off the facade of a building, removing some very shaky old metal work. Now I don't think more than a couple of days have passed before I've used the convenience of cordless power to clean or cut something. Highly recommended - with a big battery pack. It needs some serious juice.
