I was gifted this drill driver kit and I do a lot of DIY at my house, my parents house, my children's houses and for neighbors. I have had it for about two years and it hasn't let me down until recently. Last month doing a job for a neighbor it started with not being able to change out bits, now bits won't stay in. This drill is light enough my six year old granddaughter can use it and has as much power as my Craftsman drill does. Can't register for warranty because I have no receipt and closest...

sittin' on the fence with this one...
i was looking for their strongest drill in this midsize form,1/2" better than plastic chuck, brushless, and case and batteries. an everyday go to drill and no hammerdrill function. i got all that. i have a dedicated hammerdrill so i thought drill only might give it a longer life. i like to work out of the case...keep charger there and rotate batteries. a place for everything when done. case is fairly sturdy but no foam and so it all flops around when carried to and fro. if i was ok with that ...

Great tool overall
I have had the drill for about 3 1/2 years now and have had zero issues with it. It is plenty powerful enough and has an overall great compact shape. I have used it to drill 1/2" holes through railroad ties to build retaining walls with minimal issues. This drill will tackle jobs meant for much heavier equipment. I usually do not beat up tools too bad, but the tool has held up good for the amount of work it has accomplished. Overall, it is a great additional to the toolbox and it gets used almos...

One of the best drills for the money
I was very excited to free myself from extension cords and replace my existing wired Black and Decker drill with a cordless option. I did my research and decided on this model. Although for Black Friday a similarly cheaper variant (also brushless) option was available at Lowes Sicklerville for half the price (~100 bucks), I opted for the newer XR version which is slightly more powerful and comes with a hard plastic case which will extend it's life. I am a normal homeowner that doesn't have ex...
Speed Control Fails after One Year
This drill was one of the first tools I bought when my old 18v DeWalt NiCad batteries died off, and I knew I would have to switch everything to the 20-volt XR system. That was just over a year ago. Today, doing nothing more than driving wood screws into plywood and 2x4s, the speed control made a metallic grinding noise, and refused to go into high speed ever again. A half-day job took twice as long because this drill would only run at half speed. And NO, it was not the batteries; They were full...

Read instructions
Every time I hear about problem with the chuck/clutch I laugh. Years ago I actually read the instructions for use before using, most don't. Most people will insert a drill, grab the chuck collar and engage the motor to tighten the drill. Wrong!!! This is the most common way of ruining the chuck/clutch mechanism. Insert drill, hand tighten them move fir/rev switch to middle position which "locks" chuck rotation. The by hand only, tighten drill.

Just what I wanted!
This is a well made, powerful drill/driver that is very comfortable in the hand. It's solid, but not too heavy, the controls are convenient and easy to use. As soon as I got it, I charged one battery fully, went out in the garage and drilled about sixty 1/2" holes through a scrap piece of 4X4 with a twist drill one after the other. The drill got to just warm, worked flawlessly and cut through the nail embedded wood without effort. I was surprised at how comfortable the handle and the tool in...

Love it
I have worked as a journeyman electrician for 17 years this tool. This is one of my favorite tools and the one I have used most often. There are several things I like about it. Number one it has a really good grip so I don’t loose control or a hold of the tool. Secondly, it’s super lightweight so it’s easy to use on job after Job. Thirdly, it’s has long better life so you can go for long periods of time without charging it. Also, it has a LED Light three speeds. The drill performs flawless wit...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this drill for 7 or 8 years. It’s been in the shop, on the job site and all around abused. I still use it today. Never replaced a single part on it.
