Terrible, toy-like multitool

I am a heavy-duty multitool user but recently 3rd party starlock blades have become extravagantly expensive. So I figured I would try out this dewalt which is the heaviest duty most "professional" multitool they offer. Positives: I will say it has a great ergonomic grip and easy change blades but thats where its good qualities end. Negatives: It doesnt have as much power on its highest setting as my makita on its lowest. It vibrates my hands violently when trying to cut wood and burns throug...

Stopped working

After only using it a handful of times it just stopped working. Purchased 1.5 yrs ago, used it 4 times maybe.

Really handy to have for all sorts of projects

Already been super useful cutting into drywall to make new electric outlet gangboxes. I love how sharp of a drywall cutout I get compared to a drywall saw. I considered the tool plus 5ah battery deal that lowes was offering, but opted for this one with the kit of accessories that would have been inconvenient to buy later if I wanted the standoff adapter and sanding pads. It's a little loud, but well worth the investment for a handy homeowner.

DEWALT Multi-Tool - For DIY or professional usage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DEWALT Oscillating Multi-Tool (DCS356) is designed for detail sanding, plunge/flush cutting, removal of excess materials, and surface preparation applications. The tool features an exclusive Tool-Free System for faster accessory changes and adjustments, without the need for wrenches or hex keys. The Mode Selector switch allows you to select from 3 speed limiting modes. There is also a trigger Lock On/Off button. This button locks the tool “...

The only downside to this tool is the operator

Nonetheless, I look for any reason to use it. If you DIY in any sort of dwelling, be it Victorian mansion, suburban rancher, or hastily constructed igloo, you need an oscillating tool. Further, if given the choice of which one to buy, I would recommend this one, especially with this kit. The tool itself is very friendly to use, lightweight, well balanced, with intuitive range selection and oscillating speed stepping as the paddle is depressed. Keeping a consistent speed isn't a dexterity challen...

Great tool

I bought this oscillating tool around a month ago and this is an honest review not paid or sponsored or anything of that matter! This tool is wonderful the sanding attachment is really great the blades are not the best but definitely better than most blades you would get with a purchase pack all in all this was a great purchase and I would recommend any dewalt product to people, really great and honest company! Thanks Dewalt!
