What Customers Are Saying
The saw offers good power and versatility, allowing users to easily cut through various materials. Customers praise its compact design and convenient features like the blade change mechanism and multi-position blade settings. However, some users have experienced durability and reliability issues, with problems like the blade wobbling, motor failure, and variable speed not functioning properly. The saw may also have more vibration than some prefer.

Recently purchased this Dewalt saw to cut some rebar. I've not used a reciprocating saw previously. I chose an electric versus a battery operated saw for a couple of reasons. Most of the saws, whether Dewalt, Hitachi, Porter-Cable, Bosch, etc., with a battery were what I would say are 'bottom' heavy, because the battery fits into the butt of the tool. Plus I didn't want to have to change battery, recharge, change battery, I wanted to just keep cutting. The shape of this saw allows for a good h...

One of the best tools DeWalt has produced.
I am a long time fan of DeWalt tools. I have owned a couple of their reciprocating saws over the last 20 years or so. I use them a lot, at work and at home. My second one just started having some wear issues after about 10 years of use, so I decided to get a new one and saw this new angle model. I was reluctant after being so happy with their standard one for so many years but thought I'd give it a try. It has got to be one of the best tools they have ever made. More powerful and easier to handl...

Great versatility and power
Absolutely love the size and shape of the saw. Feels great in your hands and It can get where other sawzall’s can’t. I use this saw every day for cutting metal of all sorts. The only thing holding this saw from being the best sawzall on the market is the 12amp motor. Don’t get me wrong It’ll cut anything you need to cut, but slower than the heavy duty 15amp sawzalls out there, and even then it’s marginal. But for the price of 120$ You can’t beat it. Also very reliable, been using every day cut...

Impressive saw
I purchased this saw to cut both ends of a steel snowplow off. It worked surprisingly well for that task and I am quite impressed. I cut a 1/4" thick plastic barrel in half and the saw buzzed through it very easily. I am happy with Dewalt products in general and especially with their corded products. I appreciate that they are assembled in the USA and that they disclose openly that they use "globally sourced" components. Of course, I wish their components were domestic also but I appreciate...

Saw died on first use!
Just opened the box, absolutely brand new saw, went to make my very first cut on a 2x4 and literally within 30 seconds - smoke came out of the motor and it stopped running. Now when you press the trigger all it does is make a buzzing sound. BRAND NEW and saw is DOA!

Very Happy with it’s performance!
I used this tool to cut lower control arm bolts out of a Jeep. These are 1/2 in diameter bolts, hardened steel, formerly free floating through a bushing sleeve which when adding it up, ends up being another 1/2 inch of hardened steel. I used the Dewalt 2x bimetal blades, not sure but i think it was 12 TPI may have been up to 17, but no higher than that. I cut it in four trigger pulls and a blade change at about 3/4 inch through, after 3rd pull. Each blade lasts for about 3/4 inch, so on the n...
My first bad DeWalt tool.
I have been using this saw for about 6 months now and while I own several other DeWalt tools this is the first one that I was seriously disappointed in . I run a muffler shop so I have used several other brands of reciprocating saws in the past but I was switching over to all DeWalt tools and the compact design of this one caught my eye. It is good in that respect but the part I seriously don't like is the quick change blade feature. While it is quick it is also sloppy, the blade wiggles around ...
did I buy a refurb?!
I bought this several weeks ago and just unboxed and tested today. I have not actually used it while I debate whether to return it. It is dirty, with smears and what looks like exhaust scorch marks coming from the exhaust areas. Honestly it looks like a badly cleaned refurb. I was not offered an extended warranty at the store, and I'm not thrilled with having to go back there to return or exchange, but my luck is to have things die just past warranty, and this just doesn't feel like it's a n...
Sawzall, corded
Like more RPMs. We use this almost daily. Our last one began to loosen up, plus the TOP insulation wore out and began to get HOT on my husband's fingers. I DO like these better than the recent Milwaukee sawzall that is longer but not as powerful. My preference is DeWalt tools. I just like them better. We use the orbital, the drill, etc.

junk
the ergonomics and the feel of the tool is perfect...........that's about the only good thing. as soon is i started using it, there was a loud screeching noise which i assume was the front bearing or something. after about 4 hours of use the screeching stopped and grease started oozing out of the front of the thing. i kept going, i had a job to finish. after about 8-9 hours i was done and the thing was having a very rough time even cycling. this is the third one i have had, i bought two of the...
