Great versatility and power

Absolutely love the size and shape of the saw. Feels great in your hands and It can get where other sawzall’s can’t. I use this saw every day for cutting metal of all sorts. The only thing holding this saw from being the best sawzall on the market is the 12amp motor. Don’t get me wrong It’ll cut anything you need to cut, but slower than the heavy duty 15amp sawzalls out there, and even then it’s marginal. But for the price of 120$ You can’t beat it. Impressive saw

I purchased this saw to cut both ends of a steel snowplow off. It worked surprisingly well for that task and I am quite impressed. I cut a 1/4" thick plastic barrel in half and the saw buzzed through it very easily. I am happy with Dewalt products in general and especially with their corded products. Saw died on first use!

Just opened the box, absolutely brand new saw, went to make my very first cut on a 2x4 and literally within 30 seconds - smoke came out of the motor and it stopped running. Now when you press the trigger all it does is make a buzzing sound. BRAND NEW and saw is DOA!

Very Happy with it’s performance!

I used this tool to cut lower control arm bolts out of a Jeep. These are 1/2 in diameter bolts, hardened steel, formerly free floating through a bushing sleeve which when adding it up, ends up being another 1/2 inch of hardened steel. I have been using this saw for about 6 months now and while I own several other DeWalt tools this is the first one that I was seriously disappointed in . I run a muffler shop so I have used several other brands of reciprocating saws in the past but I was switching over to all DeWalt tools and the compact design of this one caught my eye. I bought this several weeks ago and just unboxed and tested today. I have not actually used it while I debate whether to return it. It is dirty, with smears and what looks like exhaust scorch marks coming from the exhaust areas. Honestly it looks like a badly cleaned refurb. Sawzall, corded

Like more RPMs. We use this almost daily. Our last one began to loosen up, plus the TOP insulation wore out and began to get HOT on my husband's fingers. I DO like these better than the recent Milwaukee sawzall that is longer but not as powerful. My preference is DeWalt tools. I just like them better. We use the orbital, the drill, etc.
