I detail cars for a living and wanted an upgrade over my older black and decker drill. I use the drill with a drill brush to clean interiors and also with a foam pad attachment to remove small scratches. The impact was just a bonus to have something seperate to install tag brackets and frames. They both have ample power, with the impact being the louder of the two. Weak impact wrench

I have not had a chance to user the drill portion of this yet, i purchased it specifically for the impact wrench. I needed it to remove several bolts on my Jeep for some repairs I was doing but it didn't have the required strength to do so. I had a friend that had a corded Dewalt impact wrench and we ended up having to bring that over and use that. I would not purchase this again. Hindered by meager battery life

I am glad that I could purchase this on sale because it is not worth the list price. I replaced an older DeWalt 12 v. cordless drill with this set and feel it was a down-grade. For general home maintenance use, I have not found any advantage of the "impact driver" over the cordless drill. Theoretically, it delivers more torque but it accepts only 1/4 inch bits in its chuck which limits its utility to me. Great combo set

I had got this set for work awhile back and it has served me very well over the years. The impact is used daily as it has the consistent power right away. Light weight and can get into tighter spaces that other drivers can’t due to the nose being smaller than a drill driver. Would recommend this set to anyone looking for a great deal along with power tools that can take a beating and last for 60+ hour work weeks. Price is right along with quality

Brushless isn’t better then?

I bought this combo kit along with a drill bit kit seperately as a gift. Unfortunetly the driver burned out on the job that my step dad was working at. The drill is still holding up fine. What sucks is that he just opened it to start using the tools and gave his none brushless DeWalt tools to his employees doing his side business. I like it so far

I was initially concerned that it wouldn't have the torq of its 18V predecessors, but I've been happy with the performance of both units. The charge lasts. At this point the batteries are recharging faster than my 18v (newer replacement batteries). The chuck on the driver (the small one) is a handy improvement. Powers Through Most Projects

This is a great drill/driver combo. Drill will power through most things with ease and the impact has yet to fail me on the most stubborn of fasteners. Battery life is great and the charge time is fast. I've had 2 batteries go through 3 rotations of using and charging all without stopping work on the project with no over heating. One bad thing is the bag is smaller and can only fit 1 or 2 bit box's and maybe a box of screws.

Tools are great batteries are not

As many others recent reviewers have noted the tools themselves are great but the included batteries seem to be basically useless. They both indicated as fully charged as soon as I received them and put them on the charger, I then proceeded to get a total of 20 minutes combined usage from both batteries just driving some screws into deck boards. Awesome Drill Driver/ Impact Driver combo kit!

I just purchased this kit at Lowe's in Hazard Ky. on Black Friday and was pleased with the sale price. The brushless drivers really give you double the run time over the brushed. The feel is comfort in hand and light weight making it easier to work with not to mention the compact size to get into those tight fit areas.
