Poor Quality

Three issues with the one I bought. The casting was warped so it rocked at least 1/4” on its feet. The detent for 90 deg, etc, was loose so the saw angle can vary . Also, the rotating section is higher in the front than the back by about 0.040”. A mitre saw should have better precision than this. I returned it and got the single bevel version that had non of these issues.

BEWARE! Serious Motor Issues

I've now had 2 of these over the last year thinking it was just a defect. Both of them have the same issues with the motor. When it starts up, it sounds like a damaged motor beginning to spin up. Also, it smells as if the armature is overheating and burning. It's subtle at first but then begins to degrade over the year. Can't get zero

So I got this as an upgrade. I got my square and set out to make sure blade was 90*to table then adjust the bevel indicator as instructed. Later on that same day I was still trying. Lowe’s keeps changing the price. The ad will say 299 until April 30, but then changes to 349 a few days later, well before April 30.

Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love Lowe's. But I wish they would put the deliveries in a brown box around Christmas. Upgraded Miter Saw

Need this larger saw with taller fence to cut large profile crown molding. I had previously built an entire deck with a smaller, cheaper saw without trouble, but this saw is so much better in many ways. It locks in place firmly on common angles. Great Professional Miter Saw

I’m a finish carpenter and I use a chop saw all day long and this one is excellent. Great for hooking up a dust collection system to it, good clearance when cutting different materials, and lightweight compared to the older Dewalt miter saws. Nice saw, disappointing clamp system

I have owned a few different miter saws over the years and the clamps are pretty standard that come with most saws. I decided to go for a nicer saw, thinking it would be the cadillac of saws and also wanted a double bevel. I purchased this because it was on clearance at my local Lowe’s. It was still more than I wanted to spend but getting a dual beveled miter saw, originally over $400 for $238, seemed like a no brainer. I’ve only made simple straight cuts but, so far, I love it!
