I have a small yard, with a fenceline and a sidewalk. On paper, this tool seemed perfect for the job. In reality, it didn't have enough power to cut through the grass around the edge of my house and the fenceline. I had to move really slowly, or else it would stall, which seemed to drain the battery extremely quickly. When it stalls out, it doesn't just spin slower, it stops spinning entirely. I have this weed-wacker for a little under a year. I bought it as part of a blower combo. The blower has been satisfactory. I also purchased a bush trimmer, as well, for an extra battery. Using 2 batteries I can get my 1/4 acre lot done (this includes trimming and blowing). The batteries do not last long. If you buy this you really need two, I wouldn’t try and go on just one. Great product for small jobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this tool for about 3 years, I've never had any issues with it. The power is not really strong for someone with a overgrown lawn or edge, that's where I've seen it struggle but if you don't have very thick grass or overgrown, it's a great product to have.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! This trimmer does not auto-feed line and only allows for a single line out of the trimmer head. I love Craftsman products, but they should be ashamed of themselves for this. I lost track of the amount of times I had to stop and get more line out only to make it five feet before I needed to do it again. It would have been better for me to buy a pair of scissors and cut it by hand. This trimmer also fails to cut grass on the first pass which made it all the more frustratin...

I took the cover off and removed the spool to find that there is a little black clip under where the spool is placed that has broken off, and now the little broken clip just spins in circles. This happened after just a few uses and I cannot find a replacement spool head anywhere (online or in stores). Same problem as most everyone else

I thought Craftsman was supposed to be a good product. Had for one season and I have the same problem as everyone else. Endless line of string because of a broken spool feed. No tension so it just blasts out and rains spool pieces all over you. A problem they have known about for years but apparently have decided to ignore. Shame on Craftsman for making such a shoddy product and not standing behind it. Probably won’t even consider Craftsman in the future.
