What Customers Are Saying
The impact wrench is a powerful and versatile tool that can easily remove stubborn nuts and bolts. Users praise its great performance, tough build, impressive battery life, and comfortable grip. The tool is described as useful for a variety of tasks, from changing tires to working on home projects and industrial machinery. However, some customers felt it struggled with bolts tightened to high torque levels, and there may be better alternatives available at a similar price point.

First thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was that it was heavy. With battery, it clocks in at over 6 pounds. If you are expecting a lightweight wrench, this isn't it. A good pneumatic wrench is lighter and smaller, but the tradeoff is in convenience. No air is needed and no need to wrestle a hose. It is balanced and easy to hold but that big motor makes it hard to fit into tight spaces. It is certainly powerful enough to handle most high-torque jobs, namely wheel lug nuts. It can eas...

Great product, can't beat this!
I've been wanting a set of cordless power tools for over 20 years. I didn't actually need these and love my corded power tools, but decided to buy every one of the Craftsman cordless power tools selling at $79 a piece. I bought the impact drill, the jigsaw, the circular saw, the angle grinder, a drill with one battery (not two) and a 25' tape measurer twin set for a total of $400 + $15 = $415, still cheaper than getting the prepackaged set with the case, plus I hand picked the tools I needed mos...

Love it!
If been using craftsman tools for over 35yrs. I have other 20-volt tools so this fit right in. No more air compressor tools to remove lug nuts or stubborn bolts. This impact wrench is awesome!

It was supposed to have 350 Ft-LBS of breakaway torque, doesn't even come close. I torqued the lug bolts on my Dart to the specifed 100 FT-LBS then checked the breakaway torque with my analog torque wrench and that was 110-120 FT-LBS. This impact wrench wouldn't touch it. I would like to know who puts these fictious rating on these tools. I should have the negative reviews before buying, as there is a lot of ratings with the same problem..

Not for automotive!
I was so excited to finally be able to afford a cordless impact and have my mobile jobs take less time, decided to take the plunge. craftsman has always been a stand up brand in my eyes, well not this time around. Researched it and it says it has 350 ft lbs of torque, more than enough for any car repair as you typically only need 100-140 for lug nuts. Well it wouldn’t even budge a 100lb torqued bolt off the tire. Was extremely disappointed that the only purpose it was bought for wouldn’t even wo...

WARRANTY IS **NOT** LIFETIME WARRANTY
as someone that stated it here in this review section.. This is a power tool, thus falls into that category for warranty, so Craftsman offers for it's power tools, just 3 years from time of purchase. Their hand tools, non powered, battery and cordless are covered for a lifetime, like wrenches, ratchets, hammers, screwdrivers, ect.. Maybe they got confused with these tools, not sure how though but anything is possible do there ya go. didn't want misinfo to be spreaded so I wrote this.
Good investment, but not as powerful as expected
All in all, it's been a good investment so far. During the first use (breaks and tire rotation), it did start to smell like plastic melting when put in a bind breaking loose lug nuts; which seemed, to me. was fairly easy to do given the specs on this thing. However, the smell went away, but even after some good break in use and a 4amp hr. battery change, it just didn't have the power I thought it would have. I will say, it's not an air tool and won't have near the life of one, but it's been grea...
Not one lug nut budged.
I am a novice weekend warrior and look to buy tools to do the job instead of hiring a ptofeasional. I read the reviews on Lowe’s app, did my research on cordless vs pneumatic ingeneral (including cost, torque, longevity, etc), and checked corporate facts on who actually makes what under which name and where. I live in KCMO and saw where Sedalia, MO still makes Craftsman benches and metal tool storage. So I made the leap to purchase Craftsman 20v cordless tools, starting with a 2Ah battery two-...
Durability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this tool brand new about 3 months ago, we do all kinds of things on the farm from gate and fence repair to machinery repair. The CRAFTSMAN 20V impact gun lives up to it's name and then some! It sure helps make short work of projects that took away valuable time to do now are done in a fraction of the time. The torque delivered sure makes big rust bolts come apart like nothing. As an amputee I rely on my tools a 110% to help me get the jo...

All the Power I need!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my my very old and failing air impact gun that I mostly used for tire changing on my cars and trucks. I'm currently restoring an antique Farmall tractor that has been sitting for 40 years. I had not been able to break the rear tire lugs loose with my air impact or by hand. The first job I gave my new Craftsman impact wrench was to remove those froze lugs. I was surprised how easily they came loose with this tool! It's f...
