Weed Eater

I used the weed eater heavily for 10 months and had several issues. The cutting head failed, and I was unable to get a Craftsman replacement. Recently, the engine would not go above half power. I will try to send it in under warranty, but I don't have much hope. I will say that the bush cutter worked as expected

Motor seized almost immediately

I carefully followed all the instructions for starting this unit and it the motor seized almost immediately. I see a review from someone else describing the same issue from 4 days ago— perhaps there is a bad batch or something. Besides that major issue, build quality and design both leave a lot to be desired. worthless

I usually have pretty good luck with products that are rated poorly because a lot of time it's operator error. this was an exception, this would barely run right out of the box. so I tuned it up and got it running good, for a couple of weeks. after I had to tune it again while still 'brand new' I thought I'd return it and try something else. Ashamed of craftsman

I grew up with my father who was a devoted craftsman user. Probably well over $80,000 in tools. This is by far the worst piece of craftsman I have ever owned or used. I understand you want to hire engineers with their fancy degrees and change things that make it seem like they are making good use of their degree. But please for the love of God, stop. Not Great

Very flimsy weed eater, motor doesn't run smooth and the bump head didn't work. I owned this for 1 week, used it for 30 minutes and returned it. No wonder it was such a good deal.

Junk

Bought this, put it together and filled with oil. All the oil came out somewhere. Returned it, bought the same product and it did the same thing.

Power cable snapped, + finiky thing

Worked okay for 3 years, pretty tempermantal getting it to start at times sometimes took 4-5 full cycles of trying to start it (with no apperant issues). The carburetor is fairly easy to get to, and to clean. Now the power cable snapped inside the trigger handle (which is all internal). Thats the nail in the coffen for it. When is did work it was pretty powerful but the middle handle would spin no matter how much I cranked down the nut and bolt. Warrenty is good for 2 years... So do I spend the ...

First 4 stroke weed trimmer owned

Weed trimmer had no issue with starting or running. After putting in the oil that is supplied with it and putting gas in, only took about three pulls to start with the sequence illustrated. Was easy to assemble and feels well built. I would say putting gas in the tank was the only tricky part since the spout is molded at a slightly higher angle to fill from a gas container.
