Just what i needed to sharpen lawn mower blades...very easy to use....looking forward to find out all the other tasks i can do with this tool....great price too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It cuts in and out intermittently...switch seems bad...only used it twice for a couple hours...would like to know how to fix or replace!

Bad switch stuck

Bad switch stuck on had to unplug it to stop. Bought it at Lowes eight hours of run time on it lost sales slip $70.00 down the drain. Craftsman back in the day stood be their products no worries if something broke.

Got A Bad One

I do a lot of grinding, most of what I own is older than I am, so there are always welding repairs to be ground and rust to be cleaned. I usually get the Green Hitachi 4.5 angle grinder on average they last me about 4 years. I bought this Craftsman because I had a gift card, thought my grinder would be dying soon and the Hitachis were out of stock. SMOKE AND SEIZED

I bought this to do some rust and paint removal o a utility trailer to repaint it. It can NOT handle and heavy usage even under medium use without ever overloading it or stalling it. All of a sudden it started to smoke and seized up with out any warning. It doesn't cool down enough. If you do lots of home projects you should buy a better quality grinder. May be good of real light use. Returned it for a refund and bought a different brand. I have several thousand dollars worth of craftsman power ...

For the price it works great.

The only complaint I have about it is the location of the switch. I feel it would be better suited on top of the handle instead of the side. I used it with a sanding disk to strip paint off my porch columns. No issues at all for 5 hours of work.

Thumbs Up So Far

I have been an electrical contractor for 40 years and never owned an angle grinder. I needed one so that I could cut tin roofing material in half the long dimension. Although it is impossible to make a perfect cut (not necessary for what I did), the grinder cut thru the tin like butter. The tin roofing was wavy so it had high and low areas. Hot Gear Drive

Purchased today and once home, began grinding some recent welding. After only a few minutes, I noticed the gearhead was very warm to the touch. I could not leave my finger against it. Seems that this should not be so hot. Otherwise, worked as expected.
