The product came in a box that had plastic seals, but when I released the seals, I could see that it had been opened already. Has never worked right a week after installation

I purchased this garage door opener online on 2/18/25 and Lowes installed it on 3/7/25. The garage door opener broke about 10 days later. I put a call in on 3/20/25, but it started working. Installation

I installed myself. The instructions are pretty bad, compare to like Genie's which has a large colorful chart of all the steps. Took me a long time to get it done. It is more complicated than the last few Craftsman's I installed. Especially the set-up for Travel distance: Basically I wrote down the steps in big letters, on a piece of paper, so I could read it easily. Without completing that sequence of steps, I think the Opener will not run. And if you take too long, they send you back to step 1...

Craftsman’s opener with wifi

Door opener was easy to install but it was lacking enough staples for running the wires. The safety reverse sensors brackets did not fit on my tracks so I had to mount them on the floor. Good opener, non-existent installation service.

The garage opener is solid. I was able to install this solo. Total time taking old down and installing new was 6.5 hours. I didn't have to run any wires, just splice into existing. The instructions are decent but vague in some areas (YouTube is your friend if you get stuck). The 2 remotes had to be programmed (instructions indicate this is done at the factory but that wasn't the case) - not a big deal. Three weeks later, still working reliably. I don't expect any problems. I paid for the installation. Scheduling the install was easy. The installer came during the scheduled time window, took less than two hours to complete the install and I now have a working door opener, two remotes and a keypad. Opener was installed and worked fine until it didn't. I still have a warranty on it. There are 3 ways you could use the opener. Great Replacement Upgrade

My similar Craftsman chain drive lasted 29 years before the nylon gears grinded down to powder. I bought this similar unit as a hopeful upgrade with as few changes as possible to the existing garage infrastructure. There were only slight modifications from old to new such as the rail's header bracket (photo), but the spacing and supports from the existing opener and electrical wiring were a great match. Open box, missing instructions, but works fine

It functions fine. There were no instructions in the box and I had to use YouTube videos to figure out how to install. I am assuming this was a returned item. It would have been nice to know that the box had been opened and returned prior to purchasing it. I could not find any videos on setting the travel limits and had to use the ol’ guess n’ check method to figure that part out.
