This Bosch laser level is an extremely well built unit. It is made from plastic and some sort of rubber like substance but looks and feels extremely rugged. The lasers are quite bright in dark areas at 150ft. In daylight the best I could do was about 30 feet to display a clear line. That could be improved by using a laser detector. This line laser is fantastic! I've used more inferior ones before, and this beats them in literally every respect. The beams are very bright so visibility inside is no problem at all, and outside as long as you're not too far you can see the line in daylight without using the included detection plate as long as you're not too far from the source. I received my Bosch GLL3-330CG and the first thing I did was take out the manual and read it. I did not like when it referred to a Figure Number you had to constantly keep flipping back to page 2 to see the Image the number was referring too. I used the laser to install cabinets in the shop. This is definitely a heavy duty commercial grade laser level. You will have zero problems seeing this light, even in daylight. The mount is sturdy and feels very heavy in your hands.
