Full sun brings out the best, rich color of this sprawling, easy-to-grow plant. ‘Purple Queen’ is bestowed with blade-shaped royal-purple leaves that start out burgundy red in spring, adding incredible interest to wherever it’s used. Ideal as a rock garden ground cover, in mass plantings, window boxes, hanging baskets, and meandering around companions in mixed containers. Companion plant tips: Coleus, Strobilanthes (Persian shield), Artemisia, or Ipomoea (sweet potato Vine). Use ‘Purple Queen’ to liven up a patio or porch. The flowers are small and multi-pink. Grows with a trailing habit to 12” high. It prefers ample moisture but does well in dry soil and can get by for a long time without rain. Provide sun to part shade. Flowers spring to fall. Hardy from Zone 7 to 11.
