Would RecommendGot this set yesterday and used it for the first time last night, so early impressions but so far so good. Right out of the box the knives are noticeably sharp, went through an onion and some chicken breast with barely any effort. Balance feels really nice in hand too, not top-heavy like some blocks I’ve tried, so control felt natural even as a first use. The handles are comfortable, no awkward grip or pressure points during prep. Only used it once so I can’t speak to edge retention or corrosio...

40 years use from a great set
I purchased this set 40 years ago while serving in Germany in the US Army. They have been great, retaining a sharp edge. I hand sharpen them a few times a year on the Zwilling two sided sharpening stone. I also enforce a no-dishwasher rule, and ask that everyone "wash Dad's knives as soon as you are done with them and put them back".
