Dull Out of Box
Would Not RecommendThe knives have great balance and heft, however were completely dull out of the box. I was pretty surprised. My partner spent some time sharpening them, but they still are much less effective than our old cheapie set. I don't know whether I have a set that was somehow skipped during the factory sharpening, but I will probably take them to be professionally sharpened. So remains to be seen how that turns out. Hopefully this will help someone else with high expectations!

Great Knives Smelly Wood Block
Would RecommendThe knives are excellent. The balance is go and they feel nice a heavy. The reason for the 3 stars and not a 5 is the wood block seems of VOCs. Seems it was put in the plastic bag for shipping before the lacquer cure.

Sharp but chunky handles
Would RecommendThe sharpness of the knives is great the only problem i have with these knives are the handles. They are pretty chunky making it a little weird to use but overall it'll just take some time to get used to

Would RecommendI am so pleased with this Henckels knife set - the weight, shape, and function of each knife is just what I needed. After suffering through two other brands, and returning them, I found my way back to Henckles.

Handle design flaw
Would Not RecommendI bought this set in November of 2017. Although the knives have been nice to own they have all broken in the same location in the handle. I've submitted a claim under the warranty and look forward to resolving.

NOT happy
Would Not RecommendNot very happy with this set at all. First off Henckels is supposed to be a german brand, theres nothing german authentic about them. All the knives came with little dings and pits in them, look like theyve been used for 4 years and sent back. All had black smudges on them and scrapes on the handles. A few had what looked like old dried food stuck on where the blade meets the handle. Im very displeased henckels, real dissappointed.
