Great tool, but double check your work.
Would RecommendFor the most part, this is very reliable. It will give you false positives here and there, so make sure you double check your work. I marked the location with a pencil, ran the stud finder over it again, and if it gave me the same reading, it was accurate. However, if it moved or didn't find a stud again, I continued hunting until I got multiple positive readings in the same spot.

Worked Fine but NOT Durable At All
Would Not RecommendPerformance wise it is probably as sufficient as other similarly priced devices but it is incredibly underwhelming when it comes to durability as you can see with this virtually unscratched device. Can't imagine what would have happened if it had actually been dropped.

Would Not RecommendI purchased this mainly to locate studs for extremely large TV installations, within the first few day the substandard plastic pins that hold the battery cover on broke, then the cover clip. Even with new batteries always told me they were dead and it was NEVER accurate. Buy a good Franklin.
